Brook McIlroy is an award-winning architecture, urban design, landscape architecture and planning firm. In creating a new visual identity for the firm, the challenge was to communicate the collaborative and interdisciplinary nature of the company.
The solution employs a simple wordmark with an adjoining slash in a bright colour. The symbology of the slash alludes to URL convention, with its use as a connecting element between the domain name and other parts of website. The simple but noticeable “slash” in the word mark seemed an appropriate symbol to the connection of different disciplines both within and outside of the firm.
Along with the visual identity, Concrete created stationery, marketing material templates, signage and a brand standards guide.
